Logicor, a leading owner, manager, and developer of logistics real estate in Europe, has delivered a new 13,000-square-meter logistics hub in Lainate, Milan.
The new development was built and leased within 11 months - demonstrating the need for modern, well located and sustainably built logistics real estate, remains high in key markets.
Located 20km north of Milan and adjacent to the intersection of two of Lombardy's main highway arteries (A8 Milano-Chiasso and A9 Milano-Laghi), the customer, a leading furniture retailer, will use the site as a distribution centre as well as a collection point for their end-users.
Equipped with 9 bays for trucks and 25 for vans, the warehouse meets the different operational requirements of both traditional logistics and a storage area dedicated to automation and high flatness flooring, as well as a customer-facing reception area where they can collect their online purchases from the nearby store.
The asset is equipped with a 130 KW photovoltaic system, with direct consumption of the energy produced, and electric charging stations for cars and vans.
Logicor completed the project with the planting of trees and created mitigation hills to better integrate the property with the adjacent Lura Creek Park.
